In 1990 world.std.com became the first commercial provider for internet. Shortly after in 1991 World Wide Web entered the competition. Since then the internet has exploded and the number of websites have exponentially grown. This enables people to become addicted to the internet more very easily. With over 400,000,000 websites available today it’s easy to have multiple favorite sites that you can spend hours on a daily basis, therefore internet addiction diagnosis’s will continue to exponentially increase as well.
